Current Church is making some changes! In preparation for what the Lord has for us, we have found a new location and will be meeting at 2812 SE 68th at Schlatter Chapel. That is on the campus of Warner Pacific College on the south end of Mt. Tabor park. It is a beautiful chapel on a vibrant college campus. We are excited to have the opportunity to have the next phase of our journey start! We will have onsite parking, and our children’s ministry area will be much more suitable. Turn North on 68th and Division and go up the hill, you can’t miss the chapel on the left! We hope to see you there soon! Please don’t hesitate to call or email if you have any questions!
MAY 4th @ 10:30 our new services will start.

April 25, 2008The dust of life
April 24, 2008Have you checked in on your dreams lately? How are they doing? Are they closer on the horizon, or taking form in your world? All of us have dreams, things we want to accomplish in life. I am going after the vision that God put in my heart. I have noticed that life happens during the pursuit. What do I mean by that? Cars break down, bills stack up, garbage has to go out, diapers need to be changed. The responsibility of normal life can totally take over at times. One tough day can turn into a tough week, or even a month and it can spiral into years. The tsunami of life can try to suck you under and drown your dreams. I believe it is one of the most tragic things in life, to completely lose touch with your dreams. How do we stay focused when life can be such a bully?
The fact is that life can eat your dreams quickly. One wrong decision, one slight detour, one sin, one accident, one betrayal… it fades to black.
Can you see your dreams? Did they die? Were they abandoned in frustration and anger or hopelessness?
You might say-It can be painful to go down this road. Pastor, I have to move on, I haven’t got time for the pain. Why torment me with this journey into my soul? I am just trying to make the most out of what I have.
That is great, but one last question, do you know what you have? Because one of the great tragedies of disappointment is that you lose touch with your resources.
A negative attitude will never open the door of opportunity in your life. A negative attitude stifles ingenuity, creativity, and forward momentum. When your focus is on why things won’t work, you have lost the battle. I have good news for you!
It doesn’t matter where you find yourself now. In the Bible, I find something, the words “But God”.
Ephesians 2:4 “But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ”.
You have a divine destiny, a purpose to fulfill. Forgive yourself, let God make you alive again! Receive God’s love and forgiveness fresh into your world! He will resurrect your dreams and bury your pain! Your dreams can live again! The Father’s love can literally cause you to rise above your failure, and propel you into your destiny. Walk close to Him, He has abundant life for you! Let the truth set you free, let it explode on the inside of you! It will blast away all the dust of life.
