Ryan & Stephanie Giles (The Flow?)

February 24, 2008

ryan-giles-003.jpgCommisioning and impartation for the call! Our dear friends Ryan and Stephanie Giles, were ordained into ministry this morning by Rodney Howard-Browne. They are moving from Florida to Flagstaff, Arizona to start a church. We met Ryan and Stephanie back in 1998 at Bible school in Tampa. They are a couple with a red hot passion for Jesus and for the harvest! They are a sister church of Current, and we are so proud of them! It is a major move to step out like this. Ryan and Stephanie have 3 children; Melody, Luke and Destiny and are planting a church with nothing but a word from the Lord. I am not sure if they have settled on the church name, but I believe it is “Flow”. They walk in the anointing and honor the move of the Holy Spirit in their lives. Let’s stand with our faith and prayers in this season of their lives. We love you!

The presence of God

February 13, 2008

Moses told the Lord, “if your presence does not go with us, don’t send us, for how can the world know that we are different than anyone else, except your presence goes with us”?  This passage of scripture is found in Exodus the 34th chapter.  In the book of Psalms, you will find that it stated that Moses knew God’s ways, when Israel only knew His acts.  Moses went up the mountain of God, and the children of Israel were satisfied with a golden calf.

Why are we so satisfied with so much less than what God wants to give us?  Why is it that we would rather keep a “safe” distance from God than draw near?  As a believer, you have been granted access to come into the presence of God!  He wants to calm the storms of life, give you rest for your souls, and infuse you with life, vision and passion.

It is vital today that believers experience the presence of God.  Many times in a meeting, the presence of God has been so strong, and I was dumbfounded that so many people couldn’t even access what God was giving out.  Their minds were elsewhere, their spirits were polluted with cares and fears and wrong attitudes.  My friends, are you missing out on what your Father in heaven is wanting you to experience?  The scripture tells us that the Kingdom of God is righteousness peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.  If you meditate on that truth, you realize it is an experiential truth.

When you pray, when you open up God’s word to you, when you go to church, when you drive, when you work, God wants you to literally experience His presence!  It will give you peace!  It will give you joy, it will cause you to rest!  If you struggle with experiencing these virtues, my friend, you are living below the Kingdom’s provisions for your life.

If you want to enjoy the  presence of a loving heavenly Father in your life, pray this prayer with me.

Father, in Jesus name, I need you!  Search my heart, I give you total access to all that I am.  If I have fallen short of walking in the grace you gave me for my life, I repent, please show me and lead me into the truth by the Spirit of grace.  I refuse to live in sin, walk in fear and to fill my life with uncertainty when you have spoken clearly to me.  You told me you love me and have a special place for me in your Kingdom.  Because of your incredible mercy, I ask you to restore unto me the joy of my salvation, set my feet in your paths and strengthen my resolve to fight the good fight of faith.  Father I believe your word.  I thank you for the provision of your Spirit.  I declare that you are everything I need.  I come boldly to your throne as your child.  Thank you for receiving me!   Teach me to live in the rest of your presence!  Amen.

You have been granted access to God’s presence, because He loves you and wants you to be with Him!

Miracle Service this Friday!

February 6, 2008

We are having a miracle service Friday February 8th.  We meet at 7pm at 2407 SE 49th on the corner of 49th and Division.  Father has us on a journey of recovering the ministry of the believer.  Miracles and healing are supposed to be the normal experience of the believer.  Scripture says signs and wonders follow those who believe.  We are not looking for signs, we are walking in the Kingdom and the Holy Spirit confirms the gospel when declared.  Paul said his message was not in words, but of the demonstration of the Spirit and power.  We need to recover the gospel as Jesus presented it to us.  If you need healing in your body, come, Jesus will heal you!

Jesus is a healer!
